Reported fatal police shooting · 2026-10-08 · Golestan neighbourhood, Ahvaz
The death date determines this record’s month, not the publication date. This is one named case, not a comprehensive monthly casualty total.
Hengaw identifies Ali Zagheibi as an Arab man from Shush. It reports that police pursued and fired on a vehicle carrying him and companions in Ahvaz, killing him and seriously injuring another passenger. It says the body and injured passenger were removed to an undisclosed location. The report does not establish the reason for the pursuit, provide a police response or name an individual officer; responsibility is attributed to Hengaw’s reporting. [1]
The linked reporting is not a complete court or medical file. Allegations, official charges and independent findings are distinguished rather than combined.
